Royal will next take on Westlake for the Marmonte League title.

The Simi Valley girls’ played Newbury Park to a 1-1 tie. Vanessa Lopez scored the Pioneer goal. Cassie Vargas had 7 saves in goal. Sharell Porter and Jenna Williams played well defensively.

The Royal girls were shutout by Moorpark, 3-0.

The Simi Valley girls’ played Agoura to a 0-0 tie.  Defensively Sarah Kan, Sharell Poter and Kim DiNardo played very well. Kathy Vargas recorded her sixth shutout.

  Adrian Herrera scored the first Highlander goal.  Paris Figueroa also scored. Alex Gonzalez and Justin Koznar played well.

The Royal girls edge Simi Valley, 3-2.  Highlander Jackie Brown scored a goal and had an assist.  Stacey Fox scored a goal on an assist from Kellie Chase. Devin Noe scored a goal on a penalty kick.  Pioneer Jenna Williams scored a goal. Tawny Skultety also scored off an assist from Jessi Sampogna.

The Simi Valley boys’ dropped a close one to Agoura, 1-0.  The Pioneers are 6-3 overall and 03 in league play.

For the first time in 7 years the Simi Valley girls’ won their own Simi Valley Tournament with a hard fought 1-0 win over San Marcos.  Alicia Reynolds scored the winning goal.  Goalie Cassie Vargas made 2 saves.

The Simi Girls’ shutdown St. Bonaventure 2-0 at the Simi Tournament.  Brenna Miller scored a goal off an assist from Jessie Sampagna.  Jenna Williams scored with an assist from Ashley Eidecker.  The Pioneers advance the semifinals with a 4-2 overall record.

The Royal girls edged Oaks Christian 2-1 at the Buena Tournament Championship.  Highlanders Jackie Brown and Melissa Perkinson each scored goals.  Royal is 7-2-1 overall.

The Simi Valley girls’ shutout Pacifica 6-0 in the opening round of the Simi Tournament. Jenna Williams scored 2 goals.  Ashley Pezel, Brenna Miller, Kim DiNardo and Priti Amin each scored a goal.

The Simi Valley girls lost to Moorpark 3-1.  Breanna Miller scored the lone Pioneer goal off an assist from Alicia Reynolds.  Ashley Eidecker and Sharrel Porter played very well.  The Pioneers are 2-2 overall and 0-2 in league play.

The Royal boys’ soccer team earned a defensive tie against Thousand Oaks, 1-1.   It wasn’t pretty when T-Oaks scored an “own goal” for the Highlander’s.
